Chandigarh 19^th June:-The fate of Vijayanagar on Sony SAB's Tenali Rama hangs in the balance. The show which recently completed 500 episodes, has successfully hooked its viewers with a gripping storyline is about to witness some exciting turn of events. Rama's (Krishna Bharadwaj) wit and the ability to solve the trickiest problem will now be challenged to try and save King Krishnadevaraya (Manav Gohil) and his kingdom.

Following the arrival of a suspicious child, Somu (Hridyansh Shekhawat), into Vijayanagar, the kingdom is under the cruel curse of Krodh (anger). In his effort to consistently instigate the king to lose his cool, Somu finally succeeds in provoking the King to accept the challenge to a dual with a courageous warrior, Panchavrisha. With the entry of this majestic Yoddha challenging the King, Vijayanagar's future is now in jeopardy- if Krishnadevaraya loses the battle, the Kingdom will then belong to Panchavrisha! While the King is already dealing with his anger issues on one front, on another front, he has once again given in to Krodh and sentenced Tathacharya (Pankaj Berry) to be hanged by death.

Krishna Bharadwaj, essaying the role of Tenali Rama said that Krishnadevaraya's reputation as a King and Vijayanagar's future is at stake. Tenali is trying to devise a plan to overcome these grave hurdles brought by Krodh. It is a fascinating story that really looks at how we sometimes let anger dictate our actions and what grave consequences it can have. We really enjoyed shooting for these episodes. Our viewers will really enjoy the upcoming episodes and he look forward to their response.

Manav Gohil, essaying the role of Krishnadevaraya said that one of the 6 sins, that is, Krodh (anger) has entered the show. He is really enjoying the concept and the storyline of the show as it sends a positive message and makes people aware of the effect of these sins in our lives. An exciting twist in the story where Krishnadevaraya's reputation as a King is on the line. He is sure our viewers will really enjoy the upcoming episodes.

Hridyansh Shekhawat, playing the role of Somu aka Krodh said that he is really excited to be a part of this extremely popular show, Tenali Rama. Although he enters as one of one of the sins, Krodh (anger), it is a great experience for him as the role is a very different one for him and the entire cast is very supportive. While everyone treats him with so much love, he is learning a lot from them while shooting on the sets.

Chandigarh 19^th June:-Contrary to a general perception that trekkers and adventure seekers mainly drive monsoon travel, this year family travellers are taking a lead being over 70% of the travel inquiries generated from family segment. Going by the number of inquiries, we expect the overall travel demand for the season to surge by 20% as compared to the last year.

Family travellers are mainly looking for relaxed beach vacations, staycations at nearby resorts, explore hillside for lush greenery and waterfalls and relish delicious hot cuisines.

Travellers from Mumbai and Pune are opting for short trips within Maharashtra and neighbouring states such as Goa and Gujarat.  Staycations in Lonavala, Silvassa, Lavasa, Saputara, Mahabaleshwar, Daman and Nasik are picking up. Sultry beaches and appetising seafood in Goa and Konkan are back on the radar of west India travellers with the onset of monsoon.

Monsoon travellers from Delhi and Chandigarh are mainly finding solace in hill stations such as Mussoorie and Nainital. Some of them are taking road trips to Rajasthan to explore places like Jaisalmer, jaipur, Bikaner, Jodhpur and Udaipur. He will first visit to Himachal Pradesh Raj Bhawan in Shimla and halt there for some time and thereafter he will further proceed to Mashobara on 22nd June 2019. He is coming to Shimla after long gap. He will be accompanied by his daughter and other family members.

Chandigarh 19^th June:-Chandigarh Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CCPCR) in collaboration with Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh organized Clay Modelling workshop on the Concluding day of Art & Design Workshop for the children of Snehalaya, Maloya, Chandigarh.

On the concluding ceremony, Bheem Malhotra, President, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh was the chief guest. Senior Artist of Tricity, Gurmeet Goldie and Kamal was also present. 

Sanjeet Kumar and Ms. Jyoti, Young Sculptors of Tricity were the resource persons for the event. They gave a demonstration on clay modeling to the children and Children created beautiful figures, models, landscapes and objects.

While appreciating the works Bheem Malhotra, President, Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy, Chandigarh said he has never seen such beautiful creation at the first-time attempt. Looking at the talent of the children, he offered them to introduce and give opportunity at major workshops so that they get exposure and can excel in their skills. Thirty (30) Children of Snehalaya participated in the workshop.

Children also entertained the artist team with their singing and drama skills.

The book has some poems written in the honour of some great personalities like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, The King of Meaningful Comedy Late Sh. Jaspal Bhatti, The Great Philanthropist & Business Personality Late Hayel Saeed Anam (HSA) & Poet's parents Prof. Harinder Sharma & Uttar Sharma. Chandigarh 20^th June:-Senior citizens and specially abled persons and women in tricity have a special 'Buddy' at their beck and call to take care of their daily chores, driving around safely and comfortably.

Variously recognized by government and various Sartaj Lamba, an army officer's wife, came up with the idea of serving senior citizens, specially-abled persons and women of tricity with Buddy Cabs.

Sartaj Lamba said that Buddy Cabs employs select retired defense personnel as drivers, and guides to ensure disciplined, courteous and safe driving experience.

Beginning with a fleet of five swanky new cars with special facilities onboard, manned by specially trained drivers, or 'buddies' who also assist in the hospital OPDs, assisting elderly with their shopping, and giving them opportunity to live independently.

The Buddy drivers have been trained at Fortis Hospital to take care of the elderly and the sick, she informed, besides providing complete safety for the women.

A very flexible tariff plan has been rolled out and one can hire the car on two, four or eight hour basis, and an app will be introduced shortly which can enable the relations to keep tab on the location of the vehicle.

A customized vehicle is being prepared to accommodate the wheelchair bound person to ride the cab without getting down from it.

An ex-armyman, retired Subedar Major Inderpal Singh is incharge of the project, and only ex-servicemen are being recruited for the cabs.

Koser" who dedicated his whole life to the propagation of art and culture. A visionary artist , art promoter and a man of courage and conviction, M.L. Koser was an institution unto himself who pioneered the promotion of Classical Arts in this region.

Kendra celebrated his  Birth Anniversary  with a soulful concert of Ghazals by famous Ghazal singer Vinod Sehgal.  Born in Ambala, Vinod Sehgal is one of the young talents groomed by Jagjit Singh. He got his career break as a Ghazal singer with the release of Cassettes "Brightest talents of 80's" and "Jagjit Singh presents Vinod Sehgal". He sang for many famous films covering Hindi, Punjabi, Haryanvi and Oria.

R. C. Mishra, ADGP, Haryana Police graced the occasion as Chief Guest. Registrar Dr. Shobha Koser , Secretary Sajal Koser and other hon'ble members of Board were also present on the occasion. Programme was held at Tagore Theatre, Sector-18, Chandigarh.

Vinod Sehgal commenced the concert with invocatory piece "Sanu Prabhji ik aadh geet udhara hor dio "He established a rapport with   the audience in the very first Ghazal " Shere fitrat hun main " and  "chehre pe kuch likha hai  . Then he doled out with many other  famous and soulful ghazals  like Koi jhankar hai, dastoor ibadat ka, khil uthe chehre sabhi, Lafz juda hai baat wahi hai,  agar talash karun to koi,  hain aur bhi duniya , ek dua ne bacha liya hai , tu kya jane diwane and many more amidst thunderous applause.

He was ably accompanied by fine team of accompanists like Mehmood Khan on Tabla,  S. Binta on Dholak, Gurvinder Lovely on Keyboard and Tilak Raj on Guitar. Kendra's Registrar Dr. Shobha Koser and Sajal Koser along with Chief Guest honored the artists.

Mandi Gobindgarh 20^th June:-With an objective to understand the issues and challenges confronting the industry members of Steel City Mandi Gobindgarh and to discuss the way forward, Confederation of Indian Industry organised an interaction of industry members with Ms Vini Mahajan, Additional Chief Secretary –Industries & Commerce, Government of Punjab and Rajat Agarwal, CEO, Punjab Bureau of Investment Promotion, at Parbhat Resorts, Mandi Gobindgarh today. 

Rajat Agarwal said that we are happy to be here to interact with the industry members. The State Government is working with the philosophy of partnering with the industry; hence the role of such a two-way dialogue becomes paramount. He also added that the government is not only trying to simplify, rather working to abolish the time consuming process of obtaining approval from Site Approval Committee (SAC).  Rajat Agarwal also shared his opinion on the Punjab State Industrial Policy and mentioned that they are attempting to introduce structural reforms in it and remove the bottlenecks encountered during its transition in 2017, thereby enhancing Ease of Doing Business.

The State is also taking up issues regarding the stringent forest laws of the Central government and is advocating that such issues may be solved online in a time bound manner.

Further to her interaction with the officers representing Punjab Pollution Control Board and State Industrial Export Corporation about the issues and concerns raised by the industry members, Mrs Vini Mahajan instructed the Industry & Commerce Department to resolve the same in a time bound manner.

C Sibin, Director, Industries & Commerce, Punjab, also clarified on matters related to Commerce & Industry and assured that the department would render complete support to the industry.

Rahul Bhandari, MD, PSIEC, informed the industry members that there are few plots vacant in Mandi Gobindgarh Industrial Area and invited them to participate in the auctioning of these plots.

Gurmeet Singh Bhatia, Past Chairman, CII Punjab & Chairman & Managing Director, Ajooni Biotech Limited appreciated the pro-activeness of Punjab Government in reaching out to existing Industry. G S Bhatia remarked that while CII will continue to support and supplement Government's efforts to attract new investment in the state, at the same time CII would also continue to draw the attention of Government towards existing Industry particularly the medium & SME which needs a sustained support from Governments to remain competitive & grow.

Dinesh Gupta, Member, CII Punjab State Council & Managing Director, Parbhat Heavy Forge Private Limited, shared the key issues of the local Industry of Mandi Gobindgarh particularly with respect to bringing Ease of Doing Business for existing Industry, this according to Mr Gupta included Capping of Power Tariffs for Industry & Simplification of Obtaining Power Connection; Expediting the process of obtaining LORC Clearances; Waiver of Property Tax on Industry; Simplifying the Labour Laws, etc.

Chandigarh 20^th June:-Pumpkart a renowned B2B E Commerce platform has drawn up the blueprint to extend credit facility to retailers for ease of doing business on its portal. Pumpkart will be the first  E commerce company to provide lending to retailers in the online space. The idea behind the initiative is to start a credit flow to retailers to buy product stocks using the recently launched Pumpkart app. The app was unveiled by Vini Mahajan, Additional Chief Secretary (Industries & Commerce), Punjab.

K S Bhatia, Co Founder, Pumpkart, said that we have developed a unique model which will provide an interest free credit for 25-30 days and post that a nominal charge of 1.25% -1.50% pm will be charged. This will be offered to retailers on Pumpkart platform through mobile wallet or card. After the Pumpkart app launch in May'19, the acceptability of Pumpkart in the market is good and response from retailers is really exciting thus good numbers of orders are being generated. Currently the conversion rate which is 10-12% which is expected to grow up-to 70%, after the lending facility goes live. 

It is noteworthy that Pumpkart is a B2B Online Marketplace dealing with retailers, wholesalers, corporates & industry in multiple categories like kitchen & home appliances, electronics & electrical goods etc.

He further added that we are also going to launch LED TVs in the market. Since the market size for LED TV is Rs 30-35 thousand crore annually, thus Pumpkart has planned to launch its own brand in TV panels.

K S Bhatia further said that that the facility for retailers will come into force from August 2019. The B2B Platform has a product catalog of Appliances, Electrical, Electronics and Industrial Supply. The platform plans to add 25000 retailers by the year end.

Chandigarh 21^st June:-There is no shortage of pizza and pasta outlets in Tricity.  Now, like these outlets, another pizza and pasta outlet has begun with the test and taste of Italy's. The formal launch was today and now it opened for customers.  It has been started by 02 cousins who have been educated from Italy.

Caffé Sicily is open in SCO 201 inner market sector 7 chandigarh.  Authentic Nepolitana Pizza and Pasta will be prepared with fresh flour in front of the customer and thereafter It will be served to the customer.

Shrevoy Ridvit Sachdev and Raeshiv Ridwit Sachdev said that Napoleon is the name of a city in Italy.  Originally the pizza started from here.  This is their first outlet in Chandigarh, here the Nepolitan pizza will be served.  Napoleon pizza, also known as Naples Style Pizza, is a style of pizza made with tomatoes and mozzarella cheese.  Pizza will be served with 3 types of sauces.  They added that in this outlet pure vegetarian and non-alcoholic pizza-pasta and smoothies will be served.  Apart from this, the Coffee is also organic.

They said that the drinks that will be served here will also be made from natural protein which will be beneficial for health.  Apart from this, the flour / dough used for preparing pizza and pasta is also of high quality, so that after eating the food customers will not be get feel heaviness even they will feel relief and easiness. 

Shrevoy Ridvit Sachdev told that the pizza here would be available in the size of 11-inch. It will be available hand tossed and at an affordable prices.  He said that his aim of launching this concept here is to provide healthy and fresh food to the people who want to eat authentic Nepolitana pizza and pasta.

Referring to the interior decoration of the outlet, he said that while paying special attention to the interiorof the outlet  they have done Wooden work on the walls along with wooden furniture.  Wooden furniture and wooden work are specially liked.  In the cafe, small pots are also placed on the walls for greenery.  So that people coming here could breathe in fresh air along with fresh food.

Shrevoy and Raeshiv said that a large whole-Woodfire Brick Oven was installed to prepare the pizza.  In which 06 pizzas will be prepared in 90 seconds.  Apart from this, separate emailcounters have been made for smoothes and coffee etc.

The Mega Summer Fashion Exhibition has been organised by 'Limelight Events'.
