Cambridge English Language Assessment Launches its Mobile Network for Parents

Chandigarh 14th June:- Cambridge English Language Assessment has launched an online mobile app exclusively for parents of 6-12 year old children the Cambridge English Parents Network.

With the increasing use of mobile technology, the Cambridge English Parents Network app offers parents the opportunity to access, explore and use the repository of curated learning resources offered by Cambridge English that they can use to help their children in their English language communication activities.

The app also provides a networking platform for parents to connect with one another, view and share resources.  It offers a managed network to enable seamless flow of information and becomes a repository of all the past communication and learning resources that can retrieved and reused with convenience. Hundreds of parents are members of this networking app where they can connect with each other, share their ideas and opinions as well as help prepare their children for the Cambridge English: Young Learners tests.

The Cambridge English: Young Learners is a series of fun, motivating, English language tests aimed at children in primary and lower secondary education. There are three activity-based tests – Starters, Movers and Flyers. This gives students a clear path to improve English. Parents who download the Cambridge English Parents Network app will be able to view resources for each of these tests.

Chandigarh 15th June:-Del Monte launched its expanded range of mayonnaises products in the market. Comprising of 8 variants in vibrant new packaging, the range seeks to provide the consumers with more options to indulge in. The new variants - Eggless Mayo, Egg Mayo, Mint Mayo, Tandoori Mayo, Cheesy Garlic Mayo, Sandwich Spread, Cheesy Dip and Tartare Dip will be available at retail outlets starting June 2016.

With the increase in consumption of mayonnaise, dips and spreads in Indian households, a rise has been observed in the demand for the category. The new tasteful ingredient for the Indian kitchen, mayonnaise has lately become the new alternative for products like butter, cheese and ketchup and is now extensively being used in almost all types of meals.

N.K.Sharma Distributes 173 Cycles to School Going Children's

Chandigarh 15th June:-Committed for development of every cadre of the society, State Govt. has implemented the welfare schemes in the state in true spirit. Rs. 1 crore 43 lacs spent on welfare works of construction workers children's. This was stated by Chief Parliamentary Secretary Industry & Commerce Punjab and local legislator N.K.Sharma while addressing the gathering at Sharma Farm after distributing 173 cycles to school going children's of construction workers. During this N.K.Sharma also distributed financial assistance of Rs. 15 lacs 15 thousand at the rate of Rs. 15000 per beneficiary to 101 beneficiaries under Shagun Scheme.

During this N.K.Sharma said that Rs. 1 crore 43 lacs have been spent in the constituency for welfare works of construction workers children's. He said that scholarship allowance of Rs. 2000 per year and uniform allowance of Rs. 800 per year is being provided to school going children's of construction workers who are studying in class first to five. Meanwhile Rs. 3 thousand scholarship and Rs. 1 thousand uniform allowance is being provided for students of class 6th to 8th and for the students of standard 9th to 12th Rs. 5 thousand annual scholarships and Rs. 1000 uniform allowance is being provided. Similarly Rs. 15 thousand scholarships is being provided to students of Graduation and Post Graduation studies and Rs. 4000 per year is being provided for books and stationary. Children's of construction workers who are doing medical studies are being facilitated with scholarship of Rs. 30 thousand and books and stationary allowance of Rs. 8 thousand per year. Besides these various other welfare schemes have been initiated for construction workers.

Then after addressing the press N.K.Sharma said that the constituency has got a complete change due to efforts of Chief Minister & Dy CM Punjab. As such, Rs. 500 crore has been spent for various development works and Rs. 150 crore will also be spent during current financial year for carrying out various development woks within the constituency. He said that Rs. 7 crore 86 lacs stands provided for construction of individual toilets in the villages and within next 2 months 100% target for the same will be achieved. During this N.K.Sharma said that 24 hours power supply is being provided to the farmers of Dera Bassi for operating tubewells, whereas in other constituencies power supply is being provided only for 8 hours in a day. N.K.Sharma said that Rs. 37 crore will be spent for repair of roads and tenders for the same have been called. He said that very soon Lalru near dera bassi will get a complete change.

Chandigarh 15th June:-As per the upcoming track, she will fast for Sunny (Vipul Roy). Vinod (Dhruv Singh) would come with breakfast for Anisha and Sunny. Sunny would tell Vinod that she has kept fast to get a good husband in future. Hence, Vinod would think that it's a good time to offer water to Anisha and break her fast at night.

On the other side, Mandodari (Resham Tipnis) will also decide to keep fast for Sunny. At night Mandodari and Vinod would go to Anisha's home. But here comes the twist.

Anisha and Sunny will recreate DDLJ karwa chauth scene in the show. Anisha would faint and fall down and Sunny would quickly come and serve water to her.

Mugdha Chaphekar who plays Anisha in the show said that she had worn saree for the sequence and she loves wearing saree. But, she could not wear a mangalsutra because her boss comes to visit and she thinks she is unmarried. It was a nice little scene where we try to hide from boss and yet complete all marriage rituals. However, her mother-in law supports her as well.

Chandigarh 15th June:-The Traders of Chandigarh Traders Association held an Executive Body Meeting today under the Presidentship of Kamaljit Singh Panchhi,  to apprise the Traders Brothers the existing law on employment of Child in Establishments as well as in Houses.  The Traders were informed that Child Labour, where ever employed, should not be less than 14 years of age as it calls for several punishment of 3 Years Jail PLUS  fine of Rs.50,000.00 in first attempt of violation of this Act.

This meeting was prompted after a successful meet held by Balbir Singh Distt and Session Judge-cum- Chairman DLSA, Amarinder Sharma Chief Judicial Magistrate-cum-Secretary DLSA, Prof. Devi Sirohi, Chairperson CCPCR. Our President Kamaljit Singh Panchhi and members of Chandigarh Beopar Mandal   attended the meeting where Chairman DLSA honoured Chandigarh Beopar Mandal's dignatories and also designated them as  THE BRAND AMBASSADORS OF THIS COMPAIGN.

Feeling encouraged by this genuine Gesture of DLSA, the Members of Chandigarh Traders Association Sector 17 pledged to implement this Law in right earnest and guide Traders to be responsive to this Act and help society. प्राइवेट आई टी आई असोसिएशन्स को पंजाब सरकार ने नहीं की कोई अदायगी:हिमांशु गुप्ता

पंजाब सरकार ने प्रदेश की करीब 256 प्राइवेट आई टी आई संस्थानों को बीते दो सालों सेअनुसूचित जाति से सम्बंधित विद्यार्थियों की फीस अदा नहीं की गई है जिस कारण एक तरफ संस्थानों के प्रबंधकों को वित्तीय घाटा सहनकरने के लिए मजबूर होना पड़ रहा है  वहीँ  दूसरी तरफ अनुसूचित जाति के विद्यार्थियों के भविष्य के साथ भी खिलवाड़ किया गया है जिस से उनके भविष्य पर भी खतरे के बदल मंडराते नज़र  रहे है }  क्योंकि आई टी आई संस्थानों के प्रबंधकों ने अनुसूचित जाति केछात्रों को दाखिला देने से किनारा काटने का फैसला लेने पर मजबूर हो गए है

पंजाब आई टी आई संस्थानों की एसोसिएशन के प्रधान हिमांशु गुप्ता के अनुसार हर साल प्राइवेट आई टी आई संस्थानों बीस हजार केकरीब अनुसूचित जाति के छात्र दाखिला लेते हैं 

पंजाब सरकार के नोटिफिकेशन के अनुसार 19006 रूपए प्रति विद्यार्थी सरकार की तरफ से आई टी आई संस्थानों के प्रबंधकों कोअदायगी का फैसला लिया गया था परन्तु बाद में सरकार की तरफ से इस को घटा कर 3350 रूपए प्रति विद्यार्थी फैसला कर दिया गया .हिमांशु के अनुसार पंजाब सरकार ने 2014 के बाद प्राइवेट आई टी आई संस्थानों को कोई भी फण्ड नहीं दिया गया

सरकारी आई टी आई संस्थानों में ट्रेनिंग ले रहे  विद्यार्थियों को 50 से 60 हज़ार रुप्रति विद्यार्थी सरकार के ओर से खर्च किया जाता हैजिसमें कच्चे साल के अतिरिक्त स्टाफ की सेलरीबिजलीबिल्डिंग रिपेयर एवं अन्य खर्च शामिल है जबकि प्राइवेट आई टी आई संस्थानोंके प्रबंधकों को सारा खर्च स्वयं करना पड़ रहा है

The opening of the Global Delivery Center in Cisco's 172,000 sq ft Pune office is a strategic move by the company to support customers globally and in India. 200 Attend Free Multispecialty Health Camp at Patiala

Patiala 16th June:-Max Super Specialty Hospital Mohali organized free multispecialty health camp at Bir Dasondi Ram Community Centre, Model Town, Patiala today. As many as 200 people attended the camp. The camp was organized in association with Senior Citizens Welfare Association, Model Town, Patiala. 

A team of doctors including Dr Pushkin Sharma , Orthopedics, Dr. Ravikant Takhi , General Medicine, Dr Jaspreet Kaur, Gynaecology, Dr. Neha Sharma, Dietetics provided free consultations and addressed the healthcare needs of people during camp. Free tests including blood sugar, bone mass densitometry, spirometry (lung function tests), PFT and ECG were also offered free of cost during camp.

During occasion. Dr. Sajal Kakkar, Sr Consultant- Radiation Oncology spoke on "Cancer Awareness: myths and reality".

SBI and American Express Enter Into Alliance to Expand AMEX Card Acceptance

Chandigarh 16th June:-State Bank of India (SBI), and American Express, the world's largest card issuer by purchase volume, today announced a partnership to significantly expand American Express Card acceptance among merchants in India, both in offline (Card Present) and online (Card not Present) space. The partnership will enable SBI to provide acceptance of all major cards including AMEX by its merchants and American Express to deliver more value to its Card members with enhanced acceptance across categories.

Manju Agarwal, DMD - CS & NB, SBI, said that SBI is committed to promote electronic payments in the country and SBI has taken a big leap in this direction by deploying more than 3.12 lac PoS terminals in the country including rural and semi-urban areas. She further added that the strategic alliance with AMEX will enable SBI to extend to its merchants a cost-effective solution that provides the convenience of one point of contact (POC) for all Card networks, competitive pricing, faster funds availability and consolidated statements etc.

Sanjay Rishi, Regional President, American Express said that we're on a journey to ensure that our Card members can use their American Express Cards every day for virtually all their purchases and earn valuable rewards along the way. Chandigarh 16th June: -A victory celebration was observed here today by ALLEN Career Institute to honor its glorious protégé's in the recently held JEE-ADVANCED examination at J W Marriott in Sector 35 here.The programme was initiated with Deep prajwallan by our esteemed Director Rajesh Maheshwari, Vice Presidents C R Chaudhary and Pankaj Birla who were escorted by Center Head of the Chandigarh branch Pushkar Rai.

Rajesh Maheshwari, Founder Director of ALLEN expressed his gratitude for the trust that the parents of the zone have placed in the institution since its establishment. He said that the motive of opening various branches was to familiarize students with the values inculcated in the pupils studying in Kota and today, on seeing the achievers he feels that the target has finally been achieved.

Shailesh Kalsia also presented a melodious "chehra kya dekhte ho". An Indian classical dance was also performed by a student Satakshi.

The spirit of Punjab was also to add flavor to the event. Palvinder Singh displayed the same by singing "kudi kehndi phelan jaguar lai lo, fir.." and Punjabi folk dance- bhangra also adorned the occasion.

Centre Head Pushkar Rai enthralled the audience by singing "mausam ayenge jayenge". Parul, Berry and Harjas bewitched everyone with a charming western dance.

 Shaman, Sakshar and Onam captivated the attention by singing "Saiyan". To further allure everyone resent Sandeep Singh sang "jab deep jale". Mr. Sashank Shekhar presented "chalte chalte". A group song also fascinated everybody performed by Ashish Anand and his team. Prisha's dance and Shradha's song were equally delightful.

After presenting various performances another round of prize distribution began. Moving towards an end of the event a western dance was performed by students (Dhruv, sharance, sidhak and prabhjot). A skit by the industrious "The Pre-nurture and Career Foundation" team enthralled the audience, making it a fine ending to the splendid occasion.

British Paints Receives GreenPro Certification From IGBC

They are one of the few organizations in the country who took the initiative of coming up with environment friendly products and as a result achieved excellence in Green Performance Ratings. By receiving this coveted GreenPro certification, British Paints has demonstrated their leadership and commitment towards Greener and Cleaner environment.

Affiliated to Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the IGBC certification is provided only to the companies who have a clear vision for improving the environment friendly footprint of their products and processes throughout its life cycle. British Paints has done well to reduce the VOC levels in their paints and also limiting the usage of formaldehyde within global standards.

Rs.1060 Crore Will be Spent for Welfare of SCs & BCs:Ranike

Chandigarh 16th June:-During the current financial year Rs. 1060 crore will be spent for welfare works of SCs & BCs, wehreas during last financial year Rs. 984 crore was spent for the same. This was stated by President SC Wing SAD & Cabinet minister for Animal Husbandry, SC/BC Welfare Gulzar singh Ranike while addressing the press at Gurudwara Amb Sahib while he was conducting the meeting with party workers of SAD SC Wing.

Gulzar singh Ranike said that SAD+BJP Govt. has implemented the welfare schemes of SC/BCs in true spirit. During this he appealed the party workers to promote the various welfare works done by Govt. for the welfare of society, so that maximum person could be benefitted from the Govt. schemes. He said that earlier Congress party have used the general public as their vote bank, but now public is more aware about their rights. Gulzar singh Ranike said that State Govt. has provided financial assistance worth Rs. 739 crore 93 lacs to 4 lacs 92 thousand 887 beneficiaries under Shagun scheme. He further said that besides this Govt. has also provided free books worth Rs. 163 crore 29 lacs to 1 crore 33 lac SC/ BC students of class 1st to 10th during the tenure of 2007 to 2015.

Later on interacting with the press he said that main objective of conducting this meeting is to strengthen our team of SAD SC Wing so that policies of govt. could be promoted to grass route level. As such, district level, circle level, village level ward level committees have been formed for the same. Addressing a question regarding clean chit regarding 84 riots to Kamalnath given by Capt. Amrinder Singh, he said that Capt. Amrinder has lost his senses and people of punjab will never forgive him for this act.

Addressing the meeting Member Lok Sabha Prof. Prem Singh Chandumajra said that the works done by SAD+BJP Govt. are remarkable and during the coming election a clean-sweep victory of SAD+BJP is dead sure and this time it will be a hat-trick.

He is the third Indian business leader to hold this prestigious position in ICC's near -100 year history.

Sunil Bharti Mittal takes over from Terry McGraw, Chairman Emeritus of S&P Global, who will subsequently become ICC's Honorary Chairman.The ICC World Council elected the new leaders in a voting held today in Sao Paolo, Brazil.

On being elected, Sunil Bharti Mittal, said that he is  honoured at being given the opportunity to lead this prestigious global institution and look forward to working with our members to ensure that we continue to play a constructive role as the voice of global business in formulation of economic and trade policies to support inclusive growth. He further said that the global economy is facing unprecedented headwinds to growth and there is an urgent need to restore trade and investment as a driver of growth and jobs, particularly in the developing world and this will be a central focus of my tenure.
