26 Tribal Children from Ladakh Region Calls on Panjab Governor

Chandigarh 14th July:-A motivational tour for 26 tribal children of Ladakh region of Jammu & Kashmir conducted by Indian Army, today called on the Punjab Governor and Administrator UT Chandigarh, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki, at Haryana Raj Bhavan.

While interacting with the children, the Governor enquired from them the places they had visited and what they had liked the most during the tour. All the children replied that it was an excellent opportunity for them to have visited places of religious, cultural and historical importance in Punjab, Chandigarh, Dharmshala and Revalsar.

Wishing them a bright future ahead, Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki said that the initiative of Indian Army, to show the people of ladakh the unity and diversity of our nation is highly appreciable. He said that through such educational and motivational tours, the children can witness rich cultural values and heritage of different parts of our country and are also abreast with the latest developments in the states of India and motivate them to be good citizens and pursue their dreams and ambitions in life with a positive attitude.

The team leader apprised the Governor that national integration tour are being organized by children of remote, backward areas of Jammu & Kashmir with an aim to integrate opinion makers of the region to national mainstream as also to provide them with an opportunity to experience the rich cultural diversity and varied traditions of other parts of the country.
